Broad Description: Responsible for the development and implementation of statewide standards, training curricula, and certification process for sexual violence crisis specialists and all other relevant training programming relevant to rape crisis services. P/T position, up to 25 hours per week. Hours flexible.

Specific Functions:

  • Develop written standards and training curricula for sexual assault crisis specialists.

  • Develop a comprehensive sexual assault crisis specialist training plan.

  • Design and develop training procedures, written guides and instructional manuals, participants’ manuals and all related training materials including program content, lesson plans, syllabus and audio-visual materials.

  • Coordinate and facilitate statewide trainings for sexual assault crisis specialists and other related trainings for rape crisis services.

  • Conduct workshops, conferences, and other training sessions.

  • Evaluate and produce written reports for all related training program evaluation. 

  • Accept other assignments as required.

Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in education, sociology, psychology or a related field with at least two years experience in developing training programs. Experience in curricula development, program planning and implementation. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

Required Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of: Group dynamics and human behavior principles. Evidence-based, best practices. Training program development. Principles and learning theories as they apply to training. On-going knowledge of sexual assault issues.

Ability to: Work cooperatively with agency team members and other related governmental, educational, or private agencies. Communicate orally in individual or group settings. Instruct others in a classroom setting. Prepare clear and accurate written documents and reports. Ability to use Microsoft office programs.
